The core business of RMD is to connect producers of certified seed with interested buyers and assist in intermediating transactions.

Our "Roots"Our history began when Robert Dunnigan took over an existing farming operation. At that time, the farm consisted of 200 acres used in the production of certified seed potatoes, with additional acreage dedicated to other crops. The farm evolved into Arctic Farms and by 1999 the seed potato acreage had grown to 2,400 acres with additional seed contracted from other growers. Developing in tandem with the production side was the marketing organization, Three "D" Sales, Inc. that brokered seed potatoes for Arctic Farms as well as other growers. In 1979, that business was transformed into RMD Potato Sales, Inc. Today, we no longer grow seed potatoes. However, we remain actively involved in the industry and continue to work with many of the same growers we have worked with throughout our own production lifetime.
